Evangelism

YWAM Knoxville reaching out to people with the love of Jesus not only in Bible teaching but also in very practical ways.  In addition to our Mercy Missions (see below), we also impact people's lives through:

• Kids' Clubs and Bible Release Time
• Mission Adventures (Short-term Mission Trips)
• Camp Gattawana
• Vacation Bible Schools

Mercy Missions

Jesus didn't just teach people. He affected people's lives in very practical ways. YWAM Knoxville seeks to help people right where they are by meeting needs and showing Jesus' love.  By partnering with other ministries and churches in the local region we are able to provide food and clothing for people who need it most. During the Christmas season with the help of churches throughout Knoxville, TN, we provide Stockings of Love. These stockings are filled with both necessary items as well as toys for children who may not otherwise get a gift for Christmas.

Organizations with whom YWAM Knoxville partners include:

• Knoxville Dream Center (Lost Sheep Ministry)

  Lost Sheep Ministry provides help for the homeless and those in need.  They provide a hot meal and a fresh pair of clothes when needed. Every Wednesday night they have a medical team ready to provide basic medical treatment, first aid, and perform vitals for those who want it. Twice a month they provide dental services in a mobile trailer.  In addition, their prayer team is always ready to pray with those who want it and facilitate long term treatment and care for those who want off the streets.

• Angelic Ministries

  The primary ministry of Angelic Ministries is to reach out with the practical love of Christ to people entering our doors, by providing them furniture, clothing, linens, kitchen supplies, and other needed household items at no cost to them, all wrapped in the love, encouragement, and prayers of our staff and volunteers who serve those who come to our ministry.

• TN Right to Life

  Tennessee Right to Life is the state’s oldest and largest pro-life advocacy organization.

• Elgin Foundation

  Elgin Children’s Foundation was created to ensure that children, no matter what their background or status in life, have full access to dental care and reading assistance.

Training

YWAM Knoxville helps to equip others to share Jesus' love in three ways.

• 3-Part Bible Training

  Our 3-part Bible training includes instruction in the Scriptures, instruction in practical ways to share Jesus and also a practicum in which participants can get hands-on experience through local outreaches or short-term mission trips.

• Discipleship Training School

  Discipleship Training School gives you an opportunity to discover your passions and your part in God’s purposes for the world. It is for those who long to follow Jesus in new ways with a different perspective.

• Children's Ministry Training

  We work with churches in Knoxville, TN, the nation and the world to train their children's ministry leaders.

• Missions Exposure Training (Mission Adventures)

  Missions Adventures gives people the chance to experience and understand what it means to share the love of Jesus in a variety of ways.  Click the link above to learn more.
